Crusty scene veterans in their native Dublin, Ireland
COLDWAR sprung from the ashes of a number of local bands in 1999, playing a
knuckle-cracking brand of pugnacious, hardcore-flavoured death metal that has
seen them share stages with everyone from AGNOSTIC FRONT and GBH, to SEPULTURA
and ANTHRAX.
With third album 'CHRISTUS DEATHSHEAD' released in 2011,
COLDWAR are ready to show just how versatile their genre-mixing aural violence
really is, sharing a stage with the best in grindcore, death metal, thrash and
hardcore punk at OBSCENE EXTREME 2013!!!
Bio
Coldwar Hail from Dublin Ireland formed in late 99. Coldwar started out mixing equal parts hardcore punk and extreme metal into an angry incendiary assault.Over the years the band has toured all over Ireland the UK and have made several trips to Europe and the USA. Supporting the likes of Fear Factory, SoulFly, Sepultura, EHG, Suffocation, Anthrax, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, Discharge, Converge, Exploited, GBH,Napalm Death amongst many others. Festivals, Load as fuck @CBGBS 2003, DOD Metal Fest 2003, Up the Punks UK 2004, Cork Winter Fest 07, Wacken Open Air 2011, Filthfest Eire 2012, Subvert fest UK 2012.
