Every year young, promising, local bands are provided space
at Obscene Extreme Festival. MURUROA, a crust/grind steamroller from South
Bohemia, will be one of them this year. Those from the South cannot but fast.
The assumption this band will be spoken about with such a
respect like Lahar or Gride in a couple of years is more than real. May be a
successful set at this year OEF be the first step!!!
Bio
After the band called GREX broke up, the rest of its
members, joined by Radek (guitar) from SVINĚ, has formed a new line-up and in
January 2009 a new band came into existence. A month later, this band started
to use the name MURUROA. The first shows followed very shortly and the band
recorded a few songs at Hellsound studio at the beginning of May. These were
released on a vinyl compilation “POSLOUCHÁTE JIŽNÍ ČECHY 2”. Thereafter second
guitarist Honza joined the band and acted also as an occasional stand-in for
Radek. After a lot of shows played in 2010, Radek decided to leave the band.
The band continued with Honza as the only guitarist. Honza also started to be
very busy at the time and finally left the band too.
After the short break in 2011, the leftover started
cooperation with the guitarist Pepa (5 SYMBOLS). The band was complete again
and was fully concentrated on playing shows and writing new songs. In Autumn
2012, the band entered the studio to record split 12” LP with Brasilian band
BAIXO CALAO. This split LP is released in June 2013 and is called DANSE
MACABRE.
