OEF book
OEF book
Finishing up. And you have a lot to look forward to. The Obscene Extreme book will be out soon!!!
Something has been in the works behind the scenes at OEF for a while now... And this time it's going to be a blast!!! Finally, after many years, thousands of hours of work, dozens of interviews and lots of memories, this project is nearing completion. Work on this piece is finishing and you will be able to get it at this year's Obscene Extreme. We would therefore like to introduce this book to you.

You can of course look forward to lots of interviews with people who have worked and are working at the OEF. People who are huge supporters of it. With the members of the bands and the whole Urbanec family behind the festival, led by team captain Curby.
The book also includes a huge amount of feedback from musicians who played at OEF, experienced the unforgettable atmosphere, and some of them have written very vividly about it. You can also look forward to a number of great and rare photos from the history and present of the festival and other special chapters, memories and trivia.
The book will be divided into four booklets so that you can pick up and read any one of them at any time and it won't be a few kilos of paper, as we know ourselves how hard these huge books are to read. The booklets will be put into a beautiful slipcase so you'll keep them nicely together.
And what does this work actually contain?
Interviews with people who were very indispensable at the very beginning, Michal Syrovátka as the operator of the Battlefield or Jirka Zackl who cooked for you at the first edition. We couldn't forget the other faces of the festival like Tom Corn, our first stage manager, Dan and Albert, who held the cameras for years, Marian, former OEF court sound engineer, Jarda the head bartender, Chymus the jack-of-all-trades, Devil the old man of the OEF stage crew, crazy indispensable member of the freak crew Fousage or Daneczek the current stage manager.
Of course, there are also interviews with big supporters of the Obscene Extreme festival from all over the world. So Danny Lilker, Giulio the Bastard, Luis Sendón, Elis and other foreign personalities who are very important for OEF have their place here. They are longtime supporters of the festival and they don't hesitate to spend their hard-earned money to come to the OEF just to support it and have a good time.
There will be a section dedicated to the OEF World Tour, when the festival has shown up on other continents. A nice report from Fabio, a young guy at the time, who attended the whole crazy world tour. Interviews with people behind the scenes like Kriz, our Mexican liaison, Naru, the Japanese samurai, David Metrás who helped us in Canada or Jason, our Australian friend, and other interesting behind the scenes tidbits from these absolutely crazy and exhausting events.
The expected and definitely the longest interview in the book is with the head of the festival, Čurby, where you will learn a lot, but we also interviewed his whole family and actually everyone who has been at the hard core of the OEF organization for over two decades. So the book includes interviews with Aneta, Monika, Naty, Mirka, Martin Chmelíček, Áda, Bilos and many others.
The whole OEF book will be permeated with a lot of special articles and photo features that will introduce you to what we love and what we have been supporting for years. Veganism, charity or the Kinder Grinder corner, just everything that is associated with the festival.
Now that we see the book finally coming together page by page, we are really happy because it took a great deal of time from the initial idea to the realization, but it was worth it. The book will be published in two editions, Czech (700 copies) and English (1300 copies) and will be on sale for the first time at this year's Obscene Extreme Festival in Trutnov, Bojiště. So if you want to have it at home, don't forget to stop by and grab your copy!!!
