GRINDCORE FACE OF LIFE!!! This band deserves the status of a great legend with no doubt!!! Not a few of you know this band and not a few of you have discovered the style called grindcore, thanx to this band. It is none other than Brazilian veterans, ROT!!! Without much thought we can compare this band to the greatest bands of this grinding style. ROT was founded back in 1990 and has a very colorful history.
This will be the second time this five-piece will play at Obscene Extreme and it has to be said that their first OEF show was an absolutely riveting hight school of grindcore!!! This is how you play the most extreme grind when you dedicate your whole life to it!!! ROT at OEF, you can't miss it!!!
Bio
ROT started in 1990 in Osasco/SP and is one of the pioneers in Brazil's Grindcore scene.
Back in the late '80s, they were already part of the underground scene, connecting and sharing stuE with other extreme music fans around the world. The cultural exchange through trading cassette tapes and fanzines really took oE during the shift from the '80s to the '90s.
The band’s music and ideology grew out of this strong connection with an international network, and you can’t really box ROT into just Metal or Punk. They created their own unique style of extreme music, which still influences many Grindcore bands around the world today.
