Another new band with old faces, IDIOCRACY!!! After the near-breakup of the South Bohemian Gride, guitarist Puffy approached his friends to start a new band. He really reached into the golden fund of the Czech extreme scene, consider what bands IDIOCRACY recruited from… Šanov, Desinfekce, Attack of Rage, But and others.
The guys from IDIOCRACY have been everywhere and that means one thing, they really know their job and their only record placed on bandcamp so far proves it!!! Power Violence of the 21st century with a great mix of hardcore and a singer with dynamite in his throat!!! IDIOCRACY knows no fear!!!
Bio
The band Idiocracy was formed in the minds of two friends Pufffy (guitar) and Šubík (drums) a long time ago. We talked a few times at some shows together that one day it would be good to make a band together. After that, Šubík and his family moved from West Bohemia to the South. Nothing happened for a long time, Puffy was playing in Dezinfekci and Gride, plus a lot of other duties, Šubík was in a similar situation. But then Pufffy's time in Gride came to an end, and we slowly started to think that we could give it a try. We took it easy, because we are both very busy with time.
The first rehearsals and jamming took place in the spring of 2019. Sometime before the summer of 2019 we invited Honza Sudar aka Little John to shout for us. We left the summer alone and started rehearsing as a trio in early fall. By that time John was no longer part of the band Bowel Fuck, but he had a new project called Impulsealer, which eventually morphed from a studio affair into a full band playing shows. So after a few rehearsals we agreed that John would not continue with us due to time constraints. That was early 2020. We spent some time wondering where to find an adequate replacement. It wasn't exactly easy. Lukas (the current singer) came to mind too, but we knew he had just recently joined Ytivarg, so we weren't sure. But we gave it a shot and he agreed, which we were very happy about.
We didn't even consider a bass at the beginning, we were planning to play as a trio without a bass. But we were approached by Wíťas from the band Tosiro (R.I.P.) at the time, and he wanted to try it, but it wasn't quite right, so we called Kenny to see if he wanted to try it, and he went for it.
The band has been going as it is since about spring 2020.
