APOSENTO is a Spanish death metal band formed in 1990.

In 1991, the band recorded their first four-track demo “Bloody Ritual”, which it was finally self-released in 1992. During that year, the band played a few shows across the country and took part on a local death metal festival, where recorded their live demo “Live in Najera“. 

A year later, in 1993, the band released their second demo “Eternal Agony”, which was followed by several local and national shows, leading the band to expand its name through most of the territory.

In 1994, and with a change of line-up, the band played various shows supporting bands like DEATH, ANACRUSIS and BEER MOSH.

In 1995, they recorded and released their first E.P. “Welcome to Darkness”. The band toured then extensively throughout the country promoting the new record. That same year, they took part in a death metal festival acting as a supporting band for ANATHEMA, DESULTORY, SAMAEL and CANNIBAL CORPSE. The band played several shows across the country during the next two years, until late in 1997, when the band decided to take a break, which led APOSENTO to be finally dissolved as a band in 1998.

In 2012, the band returned to its full activity and released a new E.P. “Retorno a la Muerte”, with some of the original members back in the line-up. The band started to play gigs locally and nationally, getting involved in the Spanish death metal scene once again.

In 2014, they released their first length album, self-titled “Aposento”. This is the only record where vocals were done entirely in Spanish. At this point, the band continued to play gigs throughout the country, supporting the likes of BENEDICTION, SINISTER, AVULSED, BRUJERIA, GOD MACABRE, RATOS DE PORAO…. etc.

In 2017, their second album “Bleed to Death” was released. Soon after, the band started again to tour extensively and played in some well-known national metal festivals such as RESURRECTION FEST and DIMETAL FEST, and also in some international festivals like the MANGUALDE METAL FEST and VISEU ROCK FEST, both taking place in Portugal. 

In 2020, the band released what is their last and third album to date “Conjuring the new Apocalypse”. Unfortunately, all plans for the promotion of this album got held or postponed due to the global pandemic.

Nowadays, APOSENTO is currently working on the process of writing and recording a brand-new record, which is expected to be released at some point during 2024.

APOSENTO is at present formed by Manolo Saez (guitars), Carlos Garcia (vocals), Pablo ¬¬¬¬¬Vazquez (bass) and Raul Ceballos (drums).
