Back in 2014, under the melting ice of the Slovak city of Banská Bystrica, a monster called Acid Force began to form. Three young metalheads paved their way by playing thrash metal with straightforward and down-tuned guitars with a taste of raw punk supported by dirty vocals. Guitarist Andrej Petro and a bass slinging singer Teodor Majerík, who at that time were already active in the now disbanded thrash formation Anstratus, invited their friend Marcel Dubinský to play drums and started to create their own music, following in the footsteps of their idols such as Motorhead, Death, Sodom and Bathory.
During 2014, the band was actively creating the first songs and preparing to enter the metal scene. In November 2014, the band self-recorded 2 demo tracks "Ammunition" and "Towards the Nuclear Load". In December 2014, after their first concert, this metalpunk trio decided to invite Frederik Hrašna to help and post the second guitar and thus start the following year in full action.
At the end of January 2015, the band went into the studio and recorded a 6-song EP called "Towards the Nuclear Load" during two freezing days. The EP was first released digitally on February 17, 2015 and later as a self-published digipack. The band was also active in live performances, in addition to the Czechoslovak tour, Acid Force shared the common stage with bands such as Skeletonwitch and bay area legend Hirax. The highlight of the 2015 concert season was participation on one of the main stages of the Brutal Assault festival.
At the end of 2015, Acid Force was struck by the departure of guitarist Frederik. Despite the fact that the band had new axeman Erik Leško in reserve, they had to play several concerts again as a trio. Despite these difficulties, things moved forward. At the beginning of 2016, the band agreed to cooperate with the Czech label Support Underground, and on April 26, 2016, the EP "Towards the Nuclear Load" was re-released under this label in the form of a digipack, vinyl records, and the band was once again destroying everything around in full force.
Acid Force also did not let up in its creative activity. The band collected tons of new material and decided to immortalize it by recording their first full-length album. However, just before the recording, the drummer Marcel leaves the band. Despite this unpleasant situation, the post of the missing member is quickly replaced by a long-time friend of the band, a drumming bulldozer from Zlaté Moravce (with roots from ancient Rome) called Federico Petrík. A few days before entering the studio, the band managed to share the stage with their idols Toxic Holocaust. The recording of 10 songs of the first album "Atrocity for the Lust" lasted two weeks in August 2016. Immediately after finishing work in the studio, the band went on the "Far Beyond the Nuclear Load" tour with 10 stops at home and abroad. The band ended the year 2016 with concerts in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The album "Atrocity for the Lust" saw the light of day on March 23, 2017, again under the label Support Underground. In addition to lively concert activity, Acid Force had the opportunity in June of 2017 to play a live performance on the national broadcast of Slovak Radio, and during the summer the band participated in the documentary series of Slovak Television called "Music Made in Slovakia".
The band's active concert activity continued in 2018. Among the biggest events was the participation in the "Metal Bastards" tour together with the bands Čad and Malignant Tumour, and a performance at the Gothoom Open Air festival.
At the beginning of 2019, frontman Teodor announced his departure from Acid Force. Despite this, the band played the before-agreed concerts throughout the year. After Teodor's departure, the band closed in the rehearsal room and decided to look for a new member and create songs for the new album. These processes have been extended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The hope for the rebirth of the Acid Force monster appeared in the summer of 2021, and the band grasped it firmly. The post of frontman was covered by guitarist Andrej, and the post of bass guitarist was replaced by a young, curly, 100-kilogram blond guy, Juraj Ondrejmiška. At that time, the band already had part of the material for the second album ready, but they decided not to rush their comeback. During 2022, the band was actively creating and preparing for recording in the studio. The compositions of the new album were supposed to be somewhat more melodic compared to the sharp high-speed metal riffs of "Atrocity for the Lust" and also there was a certain shift forward in the band's work. The recording of the second album "World Targets in Megadeaths" was started on October 3, 2022. The time span in the studio lasted up to 4 months and the band concentrated on fine-tuning all the details of the new record. The recording of the album was completed on February 1, 2023. However, the work on the album was not completely finished, for the next few weeks the band worked precisely on the mix and mastering of the entire recording, including the preparations for the release. At the beginning of May 2023, the band agreed to cooperate with the Swedish label Jawbreaker Records. On May 10, Acid Force announced their return to the scene with the video clip for the single "Praise the Atom".
These days, the band is also actively preparing for their first concerts after an almost 4-year hiatus, and together with Jawbreaker Records, they are completing the final preparations for the album "World Targets in Megadeaths", which is to be released on November 3, 2023.
