Bio

Avernal is an Argentine band, pioneer in extreme metal in the region. The band was formed in 1993 in the city of Quilmes, province of Buenos Aires.

In more than 25 years of career, they have shared the stage with bands such as Sepultura, Motley Crue, Meshuggah, Entombed ad, Deicide, Destruction among others.

Recently, on July 31, 2020, they have released their 8th studio album named Tzompantli. It was recorded in Estudio Urizen by Horacio Castro and in the home studio of Fede Averno. The mixing was carried out by Martin Furia in Amberes, Belgium and the mastering by Yarne Heylen in Project Zero Studio, Belgium. Its sound is heavy and violent; musically, it is a perfect combination of Death Metal and Death & Rol,l mixed with thick parts and dark melodies. All of this with guttural voices in Spanish. The lyrics of the album’s songs are mostly critical to the corrupt system. The album was released by Grinder Cirujano Records (Argentina), Concreto Records (Mexico), Helven (Portugal) and Your Poison (Brazil).
