An extraordinary band that has never changed its sound and style since their first demo „Punk Invasion“ and which is very well-known thanx to their intensive gigging alongside big bands of the style like The Exploited, Sham 69 or Conflict amongst others. 

Obscene Extreme Festival has been discovering young and promising squads for you since some time. This band is no exception either. Awesome, forceful power violence/sludge from Israel who called themselves MOOM. They have two singles and an European tour that took place last year in summer under their belt. 

Power violence lives and not that it doesn’t! This band did shatter the pv/grind scene with their album titled „Merge With The Infinite Now“ that was released at Deep Six / Regurgitated Semen Records last year. Short, a minute-long blasts full of stops and changes of tempo. Sludge passages alternating with a few seconds long grind passages.

The grind core blast of THE ARSON PROJECT from Malmö, Sweden who do not loathe other styles like hardcore or punk will perform again on the stage of the Obscene Extreme Festival after long ten years. What has changed with this squad since? It could be summarized in a single sentence – basically nothing revolutionary has happened.

We have a real highlight for you!!! The American masked quartet GHOUL presenting crossover between thrash and death metal with an incredible portion of musical dexterity. Gentlemen named Digestor, Fermentor, Cremator and Dissector really know how to deliver a show and we had no doubts to bring them to this year OEF after seeing some of their totally crazy and intensive shows in the USA. GHOUL started in 2001 and made five full-length albums so far which got great reviews and responses all around the world. 

The music in the best tradition of Gore Metal, strongly influenced by genre classics like Carcass or Exhumed. Oh yes, it's DEATHTOPIA, a band with an international line-up, established by the guitarist and singer Mune in 2010 in Osaka, Japan. Band's first three-piece line-up recorded two full-length albums and played several tours around Asia and Europe.

They were one of the first, actually the first band in Spain who released grindcore on vinyl. Extreme music survivors know for sure that it's the grindcore combo EL KASO URKIJO. Established in 1987 as EL KASO at that time to be renamed the very next year to their final name EL KASO URKIJO after the murders of Spanish marquis and marquess named Urkijo.

Intensive, uncompromising death/grind. This kind of music will be delivered for the second time at OEF by Mexican American band called ROTTENNESS. A very active band with its roots in Cancún, Mexico  where an underground maniac named Jajleel founded the band as early as in 1994.

This band has come flying as a glowing comet on the metal or rather hardcore scene. Their debut album titled „Inhumaform“ was one of the best albums of 2013. Former or current members of various crust, metal, hardcore squads from Sweden cannot produce bad music. Quite a trivial sentence, but 100% true.

The whole generations of hardcorer’s dream about this and I suppose also the fans of other styles who know what that name means. INFEST at Obscene Extreme Festival 2017! The pioneers and founders of the style called „power violence“. A style that has inspired hundreds and maybe thousands of other bands that have been destroying the musical boundaries since two decades.

Once a longtime drummer Jon announced his departure lately being substituted by a young Dutch Jan Lugtenburg the world of brutality has come back to life hoping to see this massacre in full strength. Some other line-up changes have been done behind the strings. Jamie`s brother Mike has taken a rest and his place is being warmed up by a talented guitar player from EMBODIED, Torment Joaquin Chavez.

RAZORRAPE was estabilished as a one-man project by Martin Schönherr, ex-drummer of the bands like Deranged, Splattered Mermaids or Virgin Sin, in 2004. RAZORAPE is quite unusually a gore/grind band hailing from the European cradle of traditional death metal known as Sweden. The guys added the line-up in 2006 putting out several recordings in different formats together with the well-known Rotten Roll Rex label.

Today we introduce to you one of the top grind acts from our neighbours from Slovakia, EMBOLISM. The band around the Kotrik´s brothers was established in 1997 and soon after their start they released a demo that greatly describes their „Grind´n´Roll“ sound. Other recordings as splits or two full-length albums followed.

In this case the speed really prevails. Absolute grind core with a small touch of crust and hardcore, this is SLAVEBREED, a quintet from Athens, Greece. They have been grinding their core for more than 10 years and certainly they are one of the leaders of the European grind core scene.
