Attached a letter that has recently come from the office of
Doctors without Borders in Prague and made us extremely happy!
Hi Čurby,
thank you on behalf of us all for all the support last year.
I am attaching a confirmation about the total sum of the donation for 2016.
I am adding also some examples of success we could achieve
also thanks to your contribution – in 2016 we helped 9 million people in seven
tens of countries all around the globe:
- We could realise the biggest vaccination
campaign in the history of our organisation when in Angola and the Democratic
Republic of Congo we vaccinated 700 000 people against yellow fever during
mere 10 days.
- We helped in the conflict zones in Syria,
Nigeria, in Ukraine and other countries where we impartially cured all the
injured.
- We beat Ebola epidemic in the West Africa where
not a single new case has emerged since June.
- We sent 31 Czech and Slovak paramedics,
logistics experts and administrators on 40 missions and many other projects could
be supported both financially and materially.
I know it can seem just a drop in the sea but it is a real
help for our patients – vaccine against yellow fever, meningitis, or measles, packings
of therapeutic nutrition for an undernourished child , an operation in a place
where there is no hospital except for ours. But I know you know this as well
and a big thank you for that.
See ya!
