Haggus is a mincecore trio from Oakland, California, USA established in August of 2014. Although originally formed as a traditional, old school mincecore band (as a tribute to the mightyAgathocles) their later sound has slowly evolved into their coined hybrid of mincecore, punk and goregrind. Crushing out well over 70 releases in the past 8 years (most of them being 7” splitsand ep’s) Haggus has three full length albums to date and are currently in the middle of recording for their fourth LP.

Their cult EP ‘The Masked Mincer’ laid the foundation for their infectious brand of mincegore - where they mix contagiously catchy guitar riffs, pitch-shifted gurgles and an unforgettably pingysnare throughout a noisy, old-school-sounding recording. All their albums are recorded diy by the band themselves in true mincecore fashion in attempts to keep grindcore raw and punk asfuck!! The same can be said for their latest 2020 LP titled ‘Straight From The Slaughterhaus’ where the band has evolved into a more down-tuned, bulldozing gore sound while still keeping their politics and views on animal rights and anti-fascism close to heart.

Over the years they have toured extensively and had the privilege of playing to DIY communities all over the world in countries such Mexico, Canada, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru, Germany, Belgium and many more!

The three masked mincers are back to terrorize Obscene Extreme for the second time bringing their greasy, tupa-tupa mincegore in full force!
