As many of them have the potential to break through in the extreme music scene in the future we want to give them a chance to measure themselves with the well-established names of the extreme music and to present themselves to a broader fan base that comes together at Trutnov Battlefield every year.

We strive to push our effort even further. So, finally, we have managed after many years to launch an application on our website where you can add any band from the whole world that is not known to us. You can listen to the band yourselves, evaluate with your comment or give it simply your vote. We wanted to give you, the fans, the simplest chance as possible to express your support to a band you find interesting, to give you the possibility to actively influence who of the new and unknown bands will play live at the OEF stage.

We do not intend to tie that up with some excessive rules and vote verifications etc. We do not care if your granny clicks or someone does a campaign on facebook, web, Twitter or anywhere else. It does not matter. It is about the respect to you the fans and other bands. We are OEF! We are just an UG festival! Not a monster Wacken type festival. Not a jackpot in a lottery! Anyone can play at our fest! So, the fact how many votes a band received is not important at all! Even a band with a few votes can be of an interest for OEF stage in the end.

We think OEF is about co-operation and not about competition.

Of course there is just a limited number of slots at the fest every year, so it is not doable to satisfy every band but we still think that you will be given a chance to listen to and learn about a lot of new music thanks to this portal. We feel our scene does need it, both the new blood and energy of new bands and the fans' support. Should it fail in the end, it is still a good chance for us to listen to lots of music we do not know about. Thanks for your support!!!

So, start adding the bands, vote, comment both the bands and on the forum. We are waiting for your opinions. We will soon be choosing what band (or bands) will be added into the OEF line-up based on your tips.
