FLAMES, BLOOD AND GRINDCORE!!! Our old friends are back!!! The band, which will soon celebrate incredible 40 years on the scene and is one of the few bands that recorded their debut album in same line up as they are now. It is none other than the masters of dark grindcore from Germany, BLOOD!!! The formation of this ensemble of crushing music and horror lovers dates back to 1986 and we can easily consider BLOOD as legends of the genre. Their albums and split recordings are sought after by fans all over the world and BLOOD concerts are always a big event because these elderly gentlemen don't play live very often.
We're even more glad that they have accepted the invitation to the annual Obscene Extreme and we will all have the chance to mosh to the legendary tunes of this unique band!!! This is going to be a grindcore inferno!!!
Bio
BLOOD was formed by Eisen, Taki, Geier and Radtke in March 1986 as a fun-noise Band.
After 6 Demos and a few line-up changes, they got a record deal with the US-Label ´WILD RAGS RECORDS´ and released the iconic debut album ´IMPULSE TO DESTROY´ in 1989. The line-up was Martin "Chicken" - vocals, Eisen - guitars, Taki - bass and Ventilator - drums.
During over 37 years of existence, they released 8 full albums, several 7" and split EPs, and are still on the road with the "original" line-up from the debut LP.
They played over 200 live shows with bands as: DISMEMBER, ATROCITY, GOREFEST, EXTREME NOISE TERROR, HOLY MOSES, FEAR OF GOD, MESSIAH, VADER, AGATHOCLES, SAMAEL, CRIPPLE BASTARDS and lots of others.
BLOOD is a unique mixture of DEATH METAL and GRINDCORE.
