It’s not much about debating if SKIPLIFE’s, a brand new band consisting of known faces from late 90s DIY Czech hardcore scene, birth and direction was influenced more by Slap-A-Ham, Deep Six acts, bands from Monkeybite pages or Czech seminal powerviolence acts such as Pangs of Remorse or influential articles in Hluboká Orba zine. It’s more important to understand that the married-with-children-and-mortgages guys’ sound and esence is more of a result of the lack of all above mentioned in contemporary scene. An impulse after a brief and random meeting in a backstage room transformed to the short, fast and loud bursts - the way all of the three members since starting their first bands Lycanthrophy, Inkogruence or Mindlock meant. Powerviolence has never witnessed its triumph over here but it’s about the fucking time!
