In 2013, CRYPTIC BROOD was started out by three maniacs hungry to perform sick and rotten death metal. After several demo regurgitations, an EP and multiple splits, their first full-length "Brain Eater" was released in 2017 getting a strong support in the death metal underground. 

The next "band" we are going to introduce is really very special!!! BEAVER FEVER is a one-woman project of a crazy grindcore girl called Tsunami Nagasaki, based in Edmonton, Canada.

Another band from the rotten gore death metal scene is the American four-piece, calling themselves ABRADED!!! A relatively unknown band in our area, but the members are guys from bands you must know, like Hemdale or Inoculation. This foursome was formed in 2018 and their music is really sick with totally sick vocals and crushing sound!!!

We support the local scene and we welcome back the crazy butchers of CUTTERRED FLESH from Karlovy Vary after many years. The guys understand their culinary art perfectly and they spice up their brutal death with infected ingredients from modern gastronomy, which brought them a great success on the scene. 

But this is going to be a real treat for all the memorists and lovers of noisy notes!!! You, who love the noisiest and most extreme style called Noise Core, pay attention!!! If you are not unfamiliar with the names of W.B.I. and Necrophiliacs, you have something to look forward to.

SEVEN MINUTES OF FEAR. For fans of the hardest extreme, already a familiar enough name. Noise destruction, which was created by the influence of two major noisecore bands Seven Minutes of Nausea and Fear of God in 2012, when only the drummer was able to play a bit and the rest could not do anything except hard posing!!! 

Another great band, who will appear at Battlefield for the first time, are our brotherly neighbours from Slovakia SANGRE DE IDIOTAS. Basically a young band made up of the duo Jan and Richard, who also shred their instruments in the noise act Sedem Minut Strachu and formed in 2018. 

For the last 10 years you have been used to a special Wednesday OEF programme. In 2024, we're unfortunately not able to prepare a genre party in the form you're used to at OEF. So, we've been wondering what to do... and we thought we'd try something really unique. Namely the FESTIVAL OF ALL RIFFS... 

France. The country, for the last decade, of  promised grindcore!!! And their next representative is a trio calling themselves GUMMO!!! The band that will have its premiere at Obscene Extreme festival started its journey through the underground in 2018. 

Under the banner of crust grind madness we have here a representative from the United States of America, HAIL OF RAGE!!! A band that was formed in the nineties, in the golden age of American furious hardcore and this is what they sound like!!! 

We can safely place this Brazilian band called AÇÃO DIRETA alongside other South American hardcore/punk legends like Ratos de Porão, Agrotoxico or Armagedom. The formation of this band dates back to the almost unbelievable year 1987!!!
