Divoký Nepálský oheň!!! Jo!!! Na Obscene Extreme festival se vrací CHEPANG!!! Tito nepálští imigranti, kteří se usadili v USA, jsou vám všem dobře známí. Jejich divoké vystoupení na OEF v roce 2018 je stále v naší paměti, popravdě, kdo by si nepamatoval brutální show, jíž vévodí na stagi dva bubeníci!!! CHEPANG vznikli v roce 2016 a za více než dekádu si vydobyli poměrně zářivé místo v extremním hudebním undergroundu. A to až tak, že jejich zatím poslední desku "Jhyappa" vydali renomovaní Relapse Records.
Immigrindcore, tak nazývají svoji muziku sami CHEPANG a my se můžeme jen těšit na brutální porci grindcorového nářezu s prvky nepálského folkloru, který je syrový a drsný jako výškový tábor pod zónou smrti na Mount Everestu!!!

Chepang is a New York City-based grindcore band originally from Nepal, formed in 2016. Over the course of nearly a decade, the band has forged a reputation for delivering chaotic, abrasive, and relentlessly aggressive grindcore while carrying the spirit of the Nepali underground into the international extreme-music community.
Chepang’s sound is an uncompromising collision of grindcore, hardcore, and extreme punk—blistering speed, pulverizing riffs, fractured rhythms, and controlled chaos delivered with the raw energy of a band that has never lost touch with its DIY roots. Their music is as unpredictable as it is punishing, refusing to settle into conventional boundaries.
The band’s recording history began with the Lathi Charge EP (2016), followed by their debut full-length, Dadhelo – A Tale of Wildfire (2017). They continued to expand their sound through collaborations and split releases, including Test/Chepang (2018) and Chatta (2020), followed by Yautja/Chepang (2021).
In 2023, Chepang released the Chepang/Racetraitor Split EP alongside their third full-length, Swatta. The band’s evolution reached another major milestone with Jhyappa, released in 2025 through Relapse Records—a release that further cemented Chepang’s position within the global grindcore and extreme- music landscape.
