Bio

Ixias started in late 2018 as a Fear of God worship band between Brad and Eli. Both worked together at a gear rental shop and would jam together on the clock in the back when the boss wasn't there. Quickly realizing potential for something more, they began preparing a short set and had a rotating lineup of vocalists (Mough from Magrudergrind/Mind as Prison, Henry from No/mas) before eventually settling for doing double duty guitar/vocals. This lineup released a demo and two splits and hit two tours before COVID struck.

They then spent the majority of lockdown writing and recording their debut LP "tinge.". This record was a bit of a departure from the early sound, featuring psychedelic influences ala GASP/Suffering Luna as well as a more jagged dissonant grind sound. 6 months later, GCBT/Holy Goat records picks up the release to drop an LP for December 2021 in conjunction with their livestream and Chepang's tour thru the coast.

With all this coming in, original drummer Eli decided to part ways with the live performance as he found other things more appealing during lockdown, but continues to do most of the artwork and help with writing. At this point, Brad moved to vocals and added Mike on guitar, Adam on drums and Simeon on bass. This lineup would play for most of 2022 and do a tour or two before adding second guitar player Steph. Ixias is also currently working on a 2nd LP in time for their first European tour around OEF
