This quartet was formed in 1997 and, right from the start, has held its own as one of Albion’s most brutal bands. Their albums „Mutilated in Minutes“ and „Only Tools and Corpses“ are well known and not only made it into the official UK charts but have also been reissued several times; they’ll form the backbone of GOREROTTED’s set at the Obscene Extreme Festival 2027!!! If you love brutality and horror, this is a show not to be missed!!! GOREROTTED are back!!!

Gorerotted formed in a backstreet rehearsal room in the East End of London in 1997, immediately turning heads with their obscene and extreme style of gore metal with lyrics heavily influenced by Horror movies, VHS video nasties and genre-defining bands such as Carcass, Macabre and Cannibal Corpse, but with an undisputed sound of their own. Gorerotted built their reputation in the underground with their first demo in 1998, which sold worldwide and brought them to the attention of magazines, fanzines and Death and Grind festivals across Europe. The first album 'Mutilated in Minutes' was released in 2000 on Fluffy's own Dead Again Records label and sold beyond all expectations, so was licensed to Relapse Records and reissued in 2002, making Gorerotted one of the first and only UK bands to work with this legendary label. Terrorizer magazine ranked 'Mutilated in Minutes' the 7th best gore metal album of all time (only Death, Autopsy, Carcass and Repulsion had higher ranking albums). Following the success of 'Mutilated in Minutes' Gorerotted signed to Metal Blade Records and released two albums, the now cult classic 'Only Tools and Corpses' in 2023 and the darker 'A New Dawn For The Dead' in 2005. From 2000 to 2007 they toured Europe with bands like Decapitated, Vomitory, and Pungent Stench and joined Cannibal Corpse, Celtic Frost, Nile and Cryptopsy in the UK. Festival appearances include their infamous performance at Fuck The Commerce in 2001, plus killer shows at Maryland Deathfest, Party San, Eindhoven Metal Meeting, Summer Breeze, Obscene Extreme, Brutal Assault, the first Damnation Festival and many more. They disbanded in 2008 and reformed with new members as The Rotted, releasing two albums for Metal Blade and Candlelight before splitting up in 2014.
