SPECIAL PUNK AND BASS BEATS IN THE BEER TENTS!!! This will be a slightly different kind of party than we are used to at OEF!!! After loads of grind, death metal, and other extremes, we decided to invite something completely different. ARTRODESE is a one-man project by Joop, whom you may know from his collaboration with grindcore band Jesus Crüst and others. But this time it won't be about grinding style, but rather a very distinctive mix of breakdowns, jungle, and drum and bass, all served up with proper punk energy!!!
Joop himself calls his style Punk and Bass, and we can onlyt agree. You won't see ARTRODESE on stage at Obscene Extreme, but only at special shows that will take place in beer tents, where you, OEF fans, will be able to dance the way you like it!!! For those who revel in machine beats and grinding bass pressure, ARTRODESE, this Rotterdam project, will be a great addition to the extreme madness!!!
Bio
Artrodese is a one-man punk-n-bass / jungle project straight out of Rotterdam.
Created by Joop van Reede, known for his work with grindcorebands Jesus Cröst and Sick of Stupidity. Bands that smashed through 500+ shows worldwide, from sweaty DIY squats to festival stages in front of 10,000 people.
Artrodese was born as a solo project in 2023, blending raw punk energy with heavy bass pressure and breakbeat chaos.
The debut EP Slave to the System dropped on Bones Brigade Records in 2024.
A year later, the first full-length album TILT saw daylight on April 5, 2025, celebrated with a release party at Roodkapje, Rotterdam.
The record was released digitally by Bones Brigade Records (France), with vinyl and tape editions handled by several international underground labels.
In 2025, Artrodese hit festivals like Peel Slowly and See, Spot on Sciebrouck and Chimpyfest (UK). Followed by a 10-day Southeast Asia tour through Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia with grindcore band Code Error (ex-Siege / Wormrot).
New album out on Bones Brigade Records (France) and other International labels in spring 2026!
