DON'T BE A PIG!!! Bring it in, recycle it, take it out!!!
Three simple principles that save us a ton of work every year, and cost you just a minute. Every year after the festival ends, a handful of us, led by Curby, stay behind until the very end to clean up the whole Battlefield grounds and the campsite. You can help us out by sticking to a few simple rules. Let's enjoy the festival together, but let's also clean it up together.
BRING IT IN - Whatever you bring in is yours. Tent, gear, trash. Don't leave it behind.
RECYCLE IT - You'll find colored bags and containers around the grounds and the campsite. Yellow for plastic and cans, blue for paper, black for mixed waste, green for glass, brown for food waste and OEF dishes.
Sort your recycling and drop it off at the collection point by the gate between the campsite and the grounds when you leave. You can pick up recycling bags at the office on the lower field, and OEF crew also hands them out around the campsite.
!!! Don't throw dishes or food waste into plastic or paper bags. That waste belongs in the brown bags!!!
TAKE IT OUT - Take your tent and personal stuff back home with you. The campsite isn't a dump.
DON'T TRASH THE NATURE AROUND YOU - Leave nature as it is. Don't take anything, don't damage anything.
RESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS - Respect your neighbors in the campsite, respect the people of Trutnov, respect OEF fans. You're one of them. Don't do to others what you don't want done to you.
We kindly ask smokers not to drop cigarette butts on the ground, but into black bags or containers!!! It just feels disrespectful to us. Every single butt has to be picked up by hand after the festival, which takes hours and hours of work.
