Info
SPECTRAL SOULS - South American death metal attack!!! From Lima to OEF comes SPECTRAL SOULS - four Peruvian souls who know very well that death metal doesn’t need any unnecessary upgrades. All you need are properly tuned-down guitars, sharp riffs, a serious dose of aggression and an atmosphere that fucking reeks of 1990. Formed in 2019, SPECTRAL SOULS delivered exactly what you want from South American old-school death metal with their debut "Towards Extinction": brutal riffs, pure drive, darkness and zero compromises. The album caught the attention of Dutch label Hammerheart Records, who later gave it worldwide support.
In 2025 came the second strike - "Conspirachronicles". Ten new tracks, the same rotten foundation, but an even sharper and more refined attack – death, nihilism and Peruvian attitude. If you miss the days when death metal sounded like something that had just crawled out of a rotten basement and had absolutely no idea that the word “production” even existed – here you go!
No trends or polished production, just raw death metal!!! SPECTRAL SOULS at OEF 2027!!!
Bio
Spectral Souls emerged in early 2019 in Lima, Peru, driven by a single purpose: to play old-school Death Metal. Their music pays tribute to everything that shaped, defined, and breathed life into the genre during its formative years.
Rather than adhering to a specific sub-style within Death Metal, Spectral Souls embrace the genre in its purest old-school form. The band draws upon the many influences that shaped its members during Death Metal’s golden era, reinterpreting those essential elements through a contemporary approach. The result is a powerful and dynamic sound, marked by sheer intensity, crushing impact, and a strong sense of musical drive.
The band has released two full-length albums. Their debut, Towards Extinction, was originally released independently in May 2022. Later that year, Spectral Souls signed with Dutch record label Hammerheart Records for the European edition of the album, which was subsequently distributed throughout Europe and the United States.
In September 2025, Spectral Souls officially released their second album, Conspirachronicles, this time through Spanish label Black Legion Records, with distribution across Europe and South America.
The band is currently promoting their second album through a series of live appearances across South America, including shows in Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Paraguay. Spectral Souls are also preparing for their first European campaign, scheduled for 2027.
