OVERTHRUST is a band from Ghanzi, Botswana and they swear by simple but punchy old school death metal!!! They have been around since 2008 and besides a lot of good recordings, this quartet has played shows not only on the African continent, where OVERTHRUST spread awareness about extreme styles of music. OVERTHRUST is also behind the festival Overthrust Winter Metal Mania, which not only supports the local African scene, but also has a charitable overlap, supporting underprivileged children and raising awareness about AIDS in Botswana!!! This is something, we at the Obscene Extreme team are really happy to see and support, which is why we decided to invite these African cowboys to join us at the Battlefield!!!
